Tourism Development Centre

One of Targeting Tourism project legacies is the establishment of a Tayside Tourism Development Centre to act as the influential driver to provide education, training and employment solutions and become a national model of good practice.

Each of the three colleges will have their own designated and branded Tayside Tourism Development Centre, which will together provide complementary education and training. It is very much expected that these centres will become a hub for all tourism, hospitality and catering education, training and development across Tayside.

In order to help promote this project and achieve these targets the three colleges have worked together to develop corporate branding. The collaborative Targeting Tourism brand promotes interoperability between the colleges.

The centres along will provide the first point of contact for employers, employees, Job Centre Plus, Visitscotland, Business Gateway and Careers Scotland. They will also provide an employer base, link employers to skills, employment solutions, a platform for new curriculum developments, deliver training and qualifications and place an emphasis on the development of soft skills for the industry.
